It goes on to talk about how a pier came loose during the night, but in spite of the bad weather the rescue team hasn&#8217;t been called out much more than usual. Then it ends with a nice list of areas with impassable roads \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Some interesting phrases from the text:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;\u00dea\u00f0 var bara kominn t\u00edmi \u00e1 \u00feetta.&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; &#8220;The time had just come for it.&#8221;<br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;\u00deetta var \u00e1 \u00feri\u00f0ja t\u00edmanum \u00ed n\u00f3tt&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; &#8220;That was at 3 in the morning&#8221; (It almost seems like it could mean &#8220;That was the third time&#8221; but I don&#8217;t think so; <strong>t\u00edmi<\/strong> is also used like <strong>klukkustund<\/strong> (hour).<\/p>\n<p>One that confused me at first until I resorted to Google Translate for a second opinion was:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Vi\u00f0 n\u00e1\u00f0um \u00ed \u00fe\u00e1 sem \u00e1ttu \u00feessa b\u00e1ta og fengum \u00fe\u00e1 til a\u00f0 f\u00e6ra \u00fe\u00e1.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He is talking about the boats tethered to the pier, and there are 3 occurrences of <strong>\u00fe\u00e1<\/strong>. The first and second are referring to the owners of the boats (<strong>\u00fe\u00e1<\/strong> being the accusative plural of <strong>\u00feeir<\/strong>), and the third is referring to the boats (<strong>b\u00e1ta<\/strong>, an accusative masculine plural).
