Fishermen at Litlasjó in Veiðivötn found themselves in a strange situation Sunday, when they had to shoo a mink away from their newly-caught trout which lay on the shore. “I’ve seen mink before but never one so docile,” says Sigurður Fjalar Jónsson, one of the fishermen who took the accompanying video.

Sigurður was at Litlasjór Sunday morning when he took this video. “We had been there about an hour and were about to move to another fishing spot, when the mink appeared and clearly wanted to get the trout. We scared it away but it kept coming back,” says Sigurður. “I have seen mink before, but never any that act like that.”
