Hno\u00f0ri the cat is recovering, but was taken to an animal hospital after a fire broke out in his owner’s house on Urdarstigur in Reykjavik. Firemen were able to put out the fire, which started in the kitchen.<\/em><\/p>\n

It is not known where Hno\u00f0ri was when the fire started, but he was rescued in bad condition from the house and was given oxygen. The cat was then taken by police car to Dr. Doolittle’s Veterinary Clinic<\/a> on Sk\u00f3lav\u00f6r\u00f0ust\u00edgur. Hno\u00f0ri, who is a 13 year old Persian cat, suffered from smoke inhalation and inflamed airways. He is now on the road to recovery.

The phrase l\u00edfi bl\u00e1si\u00f0 \u00ed hann<\/strong> is literally life blown into him<\/em>. I don’t know if they did mouth-to-mouth on the cat, but the picture with the article shows firemen with an oxygen mask on him.<\/p>\n
