A census of Iceland from 1703 was recommended for inclusion<\/a> in the Memory of the World Register, a UNESCO list of registered world heritage. The census was conducted by \u00c1rni Magn\u00fasson and P\u00e1ll V\u00eddal\u00edn, and determined that Iceland had a population of 50,366 people at the time.<\/p>\n

Arni Magnusson and Pall Vidalin’s census from 1703 was accepted for inclusion today in the UNESCO (United Nations Cultural Institute) Memory of the World list.<\/em><\/p>\n
